Yoga Master Finds Jesus

Mike Shreve started out in life like many other people, but at the age of 19 he was confronted with a near death experience. This caused him to start pursuing spirituality and what happens in the transition from this world to the next.

Mike was raised in a normal Christian church, but never had experiential knowledge of God. There was a trend of eastern religions in the 70's, so he decided to follow that. Mike met an Indian guru and began to study under him. Mike was so dedicated to this new religion that he even dropped out of college to pursue it. He spent around 12 hours per day doing meditation and reciting scriptures of various religious books.

With all the time and focus on his religion, he eventually became like a Yoga Master and began teaching at four universities in Florida. He was also running his own Yoga Ashram to teach and lead others. Mike became so popular that the Tampa Tribune newspaper wrote an article on him. Mike thought it would increase his class attendance, but instead became the focus of a local Christian Prayer group.

This prayer group started a 24 hour prayer chain for him. Each person was assigned to an hour and would pray that God would reveal who the real God was to Mike, which is Jesus Christ.

Around the same time as this, Mike had a friend reach out and told him he had become born again. Mike had a hard time believing there was only one way to God. He believed there are many different paths.

Eventually the prayers of that little prayer group worked. Mike had decided to spend an entire day praying to Jesus and reading only the Christian Bible. He read the Bible and prayed to the God of the Bible for about 8 to 10 hours that day.

One of Mikes prayers was that if Jesus really was the only way to experience eternal life then he wanted a supernatural sign on that very day.

Little did Mike know that God heard this prayer and was going to answer it.
