The Mark of the Beast Scripture

The mark of the beast scripture is found in Revelation 13 and then in subsequent chapters. The book of Revelation was written by John and is the last of 66 books of the Christian Bible. John saw visions on many future apocalyptic events while he was on the island of Patmos in Greece. These visions describe what will happen at the end of the age here on Earth and what is to come afterwards.

Mark of the beast verse

Revelation 13:16-18 16 And he causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 and he decrees that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

There's a lot of talk about the COVID-19 vaccine being the mark of the beast or at least a precursor. You can refute the case that the COVID-19 vaccine is the mark by reading the mark of the beast scripture in Revelation 13.

There are two beasts. The first beast will be so amazing that many people will start to worship it. Then the second beast comes and eventually forces people to worship the first beast or be put to death. They come up with a system to be able to find everyone in the world who doesn't worship the beast by putting something on the right hand or forehead of the worshipers. Whoever has this mark will be able to buy and sell. Those that take it can live in comfort and those that don't will struggle to survive.

One of the key things John tells us about the mark of the beast is that it will either be the beasts name or will be the calculation of his name (or human), which is 666. This mark will signify that the person worships the beast and is allowed to operate in the satanic economy of the beast. The vaccine may have characteristics of the mark, but it isn't an act of worship to take it. It doesn't leave a mark on the right hand or forehead either.

Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44) and often copies what God does. The mark of the beast is a seal of ownership of Satan. Ephesians 1:13-14 says that we are sealed in Jesus once we accept Him and receive salvation. We are automatically given the seal of God when we believe and accept Jesus as our only Lord and Savior.

Revelation 9:4 says that those with the seal of God on their foreheads will not be affected by the plagues of locusts that will be let out when the 5th trumpet sounds. The seal of God is most likely a seal that can only be seen in the spiritual realm. Either way, both God's people and Satan's people will be marked. Those that take the mark of Satan will be destroyed and those that take the seal of God will be saved (Revelation 14:9-10).

Revelation 14:9-10 9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

Revelation 16:2-4 2 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth; and a harmful and painful sore afflicted the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

Revelation 19:20-21 20 And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire, which burns with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Revelation 20:4

4 Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their foreheads and on their hands; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
