Beyond the thousands of underground pastors serving in South and Southeast Asia — and the Middle East — stand a group of extraordinary men and women: our indigenous church planters and apostolic leaders.
These are the front-line overseers of 5, 10, or even 100 churches each. Many serve as city coordinators within One Way Ministries International, faithfully planting new churches, training local pastors, and ensuring that each congregation continues to grow, multiply, and remain strong in the face of persecution.
Like the apostles in the New Testament, they not only preach and teach, but also carry the responsibility of leadership and oversight.
Their work includes:
Traveling from village to village to encourage and equip pastors.
Training new believers to become disciple-makers and church planters.
Mapping church locations and identifying communities still unreached.
Assessing needs for Bibles, discipleship materials, and supplies.
Strategizing where to plant new churches and how to support those under persecution.
Coordinating relief efforts during times of natural disaster or crisis.
These leaders often face the same persecution as the pastors they serve—mocking, imprisonment, beatings, and sometimes death—yet they continue to advance the Gospel with courage and faith.
